Dakota Reed joined BookEnds in September 2025, focused on selling and managing TV/film and merchandising rights for the agency. She has spent her career helping stories travel—across borders, formats, and screens. Most recently, she was at Ingram Content Group, where she helped launch MediaScout, a book-to-film rights discovery service. Before that, she spent four years in the subsidiary rights department at Random House Children’s Books, handling both foreign and domestic rights. In 2019, she took a memorable detour from publishing to own and run a bed & breakfast in the Adirondack Mountains (and can still whip up a mean pancake breakfast).

Currently, Dakota lives in upstate New York with her 3 dogs. She loves to travel, read, ski, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
