Global Rights

Over the last two decades, the Global Rights department at BookEnds has licensed hundreds of books in 40 languages, from the smallest territories like Latvia and Slovakia to the main international markets in Western Europe. Foreign business at the agency has been growing exponentially, and in 2025 we surpassed $3M in business in a year. We work with a dedicated network of co-agents around the world who are selected for their expertise in their territories, and collaborate with our in-house team to find the very best matches for our clients in the seven continents.

Every Fall, BookEnds attends the Frankfurt Book Fair, the largest event in the industry, where we meet face to face with scores of foreign publishers to present our frontlist and network to discover trends, find out what our colleagues are doing, and what is working where. Hundreds more editors receive our Rights Guide twice a year—ahead of Frankfurt and in the Spring—featuring information about the books we have available for translation licensing. We are excited to be working closely with BookEnds’ Art Department to be able to offer our illustrators to the global market as well, be it for covers or illustrations.
