Estrela Lourenço is an illustrator and animator based in Ireland. Originally from Portugal, she has been living in Ireland since 2009, and has been working in animation for the past 14 years. Estrela has worked for shows like The Amazing World of Gumball for Cartoon Network, and Wander Over Yonder for Disney XD. She has held various positions in the roles of Animation Director & Episodic Director.

Now, Estrela is a full time children's book author and illustrator. She has illustrated the celebrated COUNTING TO BANANAS and B IS FOR BANANAS, both of which were selected as Amazon Best Books of the Month and Year. Her author-illustrator debut, WALKIES, came out with Page Street in 2024, along with another series, including WHEN AN ELEPHANT HEARS NO and WHEN A RHINO HAS TO WAIT.

Estrela’s upcoming releases include the next installment of the SUPER VILLAINS IN TRAINING early reader series, and her forthcoming author-illustrated graphic novel debut: a young reader series called FOX AND THE MAGIC BOOK.

She is an active member of the kidlit community, a passionate artist and collaborator, and is a rising star in the industry.
