The story of MARUSHA BELLE® began where many stories might have ended.

A graduate with an MFA in Fashion Design, Marusha faced a life-threatening diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma that changed everything. But in the midst of pain and uncertainty, fighting her illness, she turned inward, imagining the story she wanted to live.

Through drawing and storytelling, she not only found strength and healing, but a new beginning. What started as small, handcrafted textile dolls, each with its own narrative, blossomed into an international art licensing brand. Throughout the years, Marusha has stayed passionate about storytelling, a promise she made to herself to inspire and serve others with her talents.

Marusha loves illustrating empowering stories with strong characters, and you can count her in for fun, laugh-out-loud stories about animals (especially dogs!), nature, and magic that blends with every day life.

When she's not creating, you can find her playing with her Maltese pup, Luca, enjoying the outdoors, running by the ocean, working out at the gym, playing ukulele, or traveling and collecting inspiration with Luca and her boyfriend, Ben.
