Sophie Perez is an illustrator and author based in Southern Illinois, where she loves to document the humor she experiences in day-to-day life.

Textured ink lines, gouache, markers, and pencils are her favorite mediums to create quirky characters and nostalgic environments. Going on 7 years as a full-time freelance illustrator, she looks forward to venturing into the world of picture books.
